Nearly 1 in 2 Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Through Relay at Home, our CancerConnection.ca team is helping to show people that no one has to face cancer alone.
Canadian Cancer Society’s online community, CancerConnection.ca is a safe and welcoming place for discussion, support and the exchange of information about managing cancer in your life. Connecting with others who understand your situation and how you feel can help you cope. Knowing what to expect throughout your cancer experience can make you feel more hopeful and less anxious.
Our CancerConnection team has been set up especially for our online community members to join together and help raise awareness and support for important programs like CancerConnection. It’s also an opportunity for us to come together as a community to honour those in treatment, living with cancer, survivors, and people we have lost together virtually.
We hope we can count on your support. Join our team and help us fundraise, or make a donation to fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
