We are here for many reasons. This year, we are here especially for Maureen, a most amazing women who passed away in December, 2020. A wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and truly special friend. Words will never be enough. Her battle was never ending and yet, she never gave up. Her tenacity, outlook on life and welcoming smile, kept shining through. 

This is also for all of the others that we have lost over the years, Mom, never forgotten, uncles, friends, the list goes on. We also honour those who are, thankfully, still with us, sister-in-laws, aunts, friends, too many.

Cancer is an ugly word. We don't like it. So we rise up against it in hopes that one day there will be a cure, people will not suffer and die. 

Relay is for all cancers. We need this.
