Georgie's Gang formed in 2005 to honour the memory of George Wood Jr. As kindergarten teacher at my public school, he encouraged me to get involved in the Theatre backstage, volunteering in the box office and helping run their bingo fundraisers. Without his encouragement, I would not be involved in many of the things I have in my life today.

Nearly 1 in 2 Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Join us so we can show our communities that no one has to face cancer alone.  I hope I can count on your support, to fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
