The COVID-19 health crisis is having an undeniable impact on communities across Canada and around the world. In order to honour our commitment to social distancing and protect the well-being and safety of people living with cancer, event participants, our donors, volunteers and staff, the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) has made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person Relay For Life activities and events until the end of summer. We will be providing details in the coming weeks on new ways to engage with CCS. We encourage Relay supporters to continue supporting the cause through online fundraising. We have various tools and resources that can assist you in your efforts at relayforlife.ca. Learn more about how our organization is dealing with COVID-19 by consulting our latest communication on this subject.
Nearly 1 in 2 Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Join me in taking action to help create a world where no Canadian has to fear this disease.
I’m determined to make a difference by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is a nationwide event that brings people together to celebrate survivors, honour those we’ve lost and show that no one has to face cancer alone. By making a donation, you can help fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal.
