Everyone who joins and who supports our team is a part of Kristen's extended community - however she touched your life be it with laughter, good advice, a friendly smile, wise counsel, a new recipe, mentorship, a perfect picture, generosity or kindness. This brave, kind, funny, thoughtful, intelligent woman was surrounded by her parents, her family and her friends who showered her with love and support as she did all she could to live with cancer and then bravely let go when that was no longer possible.

Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means almost half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. We all have our own reasons for participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life, but what unites us all is being a part of Kristen’s community and a strong desire to show that no one has to face cancer alone.
