Dear friends and supporters,

I am writing to you today to raise awareness for an incredible cause, the Run for the Cure, which is dedicated to raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. This year's event is taking place in Calgary, Alberta on October 1st, 2023, and I am participating to support my mom, Layne, who has been battling cancer since July 21st, 2022.

Layne is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She is an incredibly selfless person, always willing to help anyone in need, and now it's time for us to show our support for her. Even though I won't be able to participate in the Calgary event due to my upcoming wedding planning with my mom in Atlanta, we will walk hand-in-hand on October 1st to show our support to those who can't.

Layne has undergone a lumpectomy, three months of chemotherapy, five weeks of radiation, and will complete twelve months of immunotherapy in September 2023. She is tireless in her battle against cancer and remains one of the kindest and most beautiful people I know, even without her hair.

Please join me in supporting the Canadian Cancer Society by donating to the Run for the Cure fundraiser in honor of my mom, Layne. Every donation makes a difference in the fight against cancer and helps millions of people who are affected by this disease.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
