Metastatic Breast Cancer - WonderBroads

The WonderBroads of Windsor-Essex are a charitable Dragon Boat Racing Organization. We have all survived breast cancer and the rigors of treatments. We are a competitive team, racing in Canada and worldwide. We also paddle for fun, exercise and to support each other. 

This year our team celebrated our 20th anniversary! 20 Years Strong!

Our motto is Commitment-Courage-Camaraderie.
We believe that people living with breast cancer can lead full, active, healthy lives.

We are proud to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure, not only to emphasize this belief but to support research for better treatments and a cure. 
We have won the Women's Team Challenge award for three years in a row! And last year we came across the finish line being first in the city of top fundraising teams with a total of $12,794! This money was earmarked for research in metastatic breast cancer which is of particular interest to any woman who has survived breast cancer.

We are once again aiming to be first in the city! Celebrate our 20th with us and help us defeat breast cancer with better treatments that will provide longer, healthier lives!

Team Tent Awards

Your team can be recognized as one of the top 3 teams at your local CIBC Run for the Cure event! The top 3 teams who meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $5,000 by the deadline 10 p.m. PST on Monday, September 18, 2023, will receive their own team tent space. You can decorate the space, hang out there on Run Day and receive the VIP experience!

For offline funds to be counted towards these awards, the funds must be displayed online by the deadlines above. Bank stamped, offline forms can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society via email to connect@cancer.ca or mailed to the address on the form. Processing times vary, but please allow a minimum of 3 weeks from receipt of the form by CCS to seeing offline fundraising reflected in your totals online.
