Kitchener-Waterloo: Winnie's GF - CIBC Run for the Cure

Kitchener-Waterloo

Winnie's GF

The team at Winnies Gluten Free Bakery are coming together on October 1, 2023 for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. We are doing this in support of the owner of Winnies, Vicky. With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. Together, we can create a future without breast cancer.

On September 23, 2023 at the bakery, all sales from our cupcakes will go towards our fundraising goal! If cupcakes are not your thing, any donation would be so appreciated!

Vicky has always been an extremely hard working, passionate and dedicated woman. Over the years, she has built Winnie’s Gluten Free from the ground up. Every single recipe and flour blend took months to perfect and are used every single day at Winnie’s Gluten Free Bakery in Belmont Village, Kitchener.

After struggling through the loss of a significant family member, Vicky found a lump in her breast. Something every woman fears. She acted quickly and advocated for herself to get results as soon as possible. Her worst fears were confirmed. After several months of waiting for results and treatment plans, in the winter of 2023, she finally had an idea of what the next few months would hold.

Vicky had to step away from the daily grind at Winnie’s in order to focus on her health. She underwent radiation for 5 weeks and was very grateful with the outcome of her treatment. She continues to grind at Winnie’s and continues to be a loving partner, daughter, mother and grandmother.

Thank you for taking the time to be here! We appreciate your generous support!
