Ottawa-Gatineau: Team Svabride - CIBC Run for the Cure

Team Svabride

In 2018, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in my 40s.  With a bit of luck, I benefitted from early detection and treatment, and I'm celebrating 5 years of being Cancer free!

Team Svabride is running to support groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show our support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people.

Please donate today. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.

Thank you! I appreciate your generous support.

Team Tent Awards

Your team can be recognized as one of the top 5 teams at your local CIBC Run for the Cure event! The top 5 teams who meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $10,000 by the deadline 10 p.m. PST on Monday, September 18, 2023, will receive their own team tent space. You can decorate the space, hang out there on Run Day and receive the VIP experience!

For offline funds to be counted towards these awards, the funds must be displayed online by the deadlines above. Bank stamped, offline forms can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society via email to or mailed to the address on the form. Processing times vary, but please allow a minimum of 3 weeks from receipt of the form by CCS to seeing offline fundraising reflected in your totals online.
