Sunshine and Joy!

I'm a cancer survivor. A number of my friends at the African Cancer Support Group (ACSG) have passed away because of cancer, leaving their families devastated and vulnerable.

My family just concluded the funeral events for my mother-in-law who battled with cancer. As a caregiver, I know the challenges of living with cancer.

More recently, I had a breast cancer scare. Thankfully, I received the good news that the biopsy results were negative. I am cancer free! Sometimes, I wonder who is next.

The biggest good news I'm hoping for every day is that a cure for cancer has been found!

This is why I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
