December of 2019 I would come to learn that my best friend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was scheduled to head into surgery the day after she told me. The surgery went well and it was followed by a gruelling 6 weeks of radiation. She rang her bell back in April 2020 and continues on her journey of recovery. This close to home life altering experience has really affected all of us. 

My friend is an amazing strong-willed fighter and I know she can and WILL overcome this.
In her honour and in honour of all women who are suffering or have suffered with Breast Cancer, I have decided to continue my participation in the CIBC Run for the Cure by walking a distance of 5KM on October 22nd, 2022 and I hope you will all support me in my quest and help me meet my fundraiser goal!
