An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. I was diagnosed at the age of 34 in 2017. It was a gruelling 14 month battle, with countless treatments, chemo, surgery, radiation, and more chemo. The survival rate for triple negative breast cancer is not great. But, I beat the odds, and I am cancer free still at just about 5 years from my last IV chemo treatments! I wasn’t going to let it beat me, but so many other women are not so lucky!

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
