In 2006 my mother, Lynn Robb, was diagnosed with breast cancer. After having a lumpectomy and her lymph nodes removed, she underwent chemotherapy and radiation and was deemed cancer-free in 2007. Breast cancer is a disease that not only my mother has been affected by in my family, but her sister, my Aunt Gerry, is also a breast cancer survivor. As a person who has had two women in their life affected by this disease, I understand the importance of research in this field and know how an early diagnosis can save the lives of your loved ones.

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure,  I’m helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of Canadians affected by breast cancer. I’m running in honour of the incredible people in my life, and I need your support!
