Clan Braveheart: Elizabeth & Colin Logan​

Though I never had the honor of meeting my Nana, Elizabeth Logan, her legacy still lives on through our family. She co-owned "Just Us Hair Design" with her friend, Fran Yeast, and had a passion for helping others feel beautiful. At 42, she bravely battled breast cancer and triumphed after two years, but eight years later, she was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away at 52. Running to raise money for a cure is my way of honoring her and supporting the fight against cancer for a brighter future.I was fortunate to have 18 amazing years with my Grandy, Colin Logan, the most incredible man I’ve ever known. He was the best Grandy, an amazing father, and a friend to everyone who had the honor of meeting him. Sadly, cancer took him from us on May 6th, 2024. Throughout his fight, he remained optimistic and happy, never shedding a tear, even during his time in the hospital. Now, both Grandy and Nana are watching over our family together, and I run in their memory, hoping to make a difference in the fight against cancer ♥.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs – including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
