To show my support for the 30,000 Canadians, including friends and family near and far, who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. 

I’m no stranger to cancer myself; I’ve been battling with kidney cancer myself since 2022. When I have shared my story, I’ve had people battling breast cancer share their stories with me and it is those people who inspired me to run this year. 

In early 2019, Natalie Kwadrans was diagnosed with stage 4, triple positive breast cancer. She has since been receiving ongoing palliative treatments every three weeks. She is a single mom of two kids under the age of 10, yet she still finds time to advocate for better screening and treatments through cancer research, as well as advocating to lower the breast  cancer screening age. With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for the tens of thousands of women annually who hear the words “You have breast cancer.” Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
