This year I have chosen to join my passion for both cancer research and running to support the Canadian Cancer Society.

I am delighted to announce that on October 6th, I will be participating in a 5k race with the Women's Center team of Calgary to support a cause that is very dear to my heart - Breast Cancer research and initiatives. I am reaching out to you all today to request your much-needed support and help in making a significant impact in the fight against breast cancer.

Ever since I can remember, cancer research has been a topic that has ignited a fire within me. During my years at University, I was fortunate enough to be a research assistant for a dedicated research team at the CHUS. Together, we were involved in groundbreaking research to develop a vaccine for triple negative breast cancer - a particularly aggressive and challenging form of the disease.

Please donate today. While my career path has led me away from the science field, I will always believe that better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.
