Recently, I was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS), a non-invasive form of breast cancer. This experience has been a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, as DCIS is often found through routine mammograms and can be treated before it becomes invasive. While I’m grateful for early detection and successful treatment, I’ve also faced emotional challenges, including Imposter Syndrome, making it difficult to fully embrace the identity of a survivor.
