Stronger Together - Honoring The Twins

On October 6, 2024 we will Run/Walk as Family and Friends in support of Cortney and Connie and the estimated 27,700 women and 260 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

In June of 2015, at the age of 29, Cortney was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer with lymph node involvement.  One month later, in July of 2015, at the age of 29,  Connie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.

Later in their journey after genetic testing, it was found out that as Identical Twins they both carry the BRCA2 gene.

Connie and Cortney have both had bi-lateral mastectomies and full hysterectomies. Cortney has undergone chemo and radiation treatments as well.

In November of 2020, at the age of 34, Cortney was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer after finding a lump on her neck.

In August of 2022, at the age of 36, Connie was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer after having a blood test completed  for possible involvement in a drug trial.
