You have cancer.  Three words you never want to hear, but when you do, you feel like your world has fallen apart.  On July 14, 2022 I was diagnosed with HER2 Positive Breast Cancer.  My journey included surgery to remove the tumor and five lymph nodes, four cycles of chemotherapy, ten radiation sessions and 18 cycles of Herceptin Infusions. Today, I am proud to say I'm healthy, strong and happy that I was able to navigate this disease.  

I participated in the Run for the Cure last year for the first time and I was amazed and inspired by the number of strong survivors I encountered.   I had so much fun running along side my biggest cheerleader, my husband Sean, and I knew that this run would be an annual event for my family.

I am participating and fundraising because I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. And I want to support all Canadians impacted by breast cancer.
