Our team name Running for the Girls is three fold. Firstly we run for ourselves- our own health as we our bodies change as we age and so we can help others, secondly we run for our daughters, our friends daughters, etc., and thirdly, we run for all future generations of girls, women to stand together.

This year, I would like to recognize a friend of ours, Kara Pottle's 10th Anniversary Cancer Free! Kara is how our group came together for this Run for the Cure, here in Edmonton. Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary, we support you!!

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.  

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
