An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. I didn't think I would be one of them at age 41! I am so grateful for all the research and support programs that have given me a new lease on life and supported through treatment last year. Please, if you haven't had a mammogram and are in my age group or older, consider having one. To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
