Since my breast cancer diagnosis six years ago, I have had the wonderful opportunity to train and race with other breast cancer survivors. I have not been this fit and strong in over 40 years!

My Breast Friends Dragon Boat Racing Team is participating in and fundraising for this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024. If we raise $10,000 by Sept 18, we will be eligible to have a tent. That visibility gives us the opportunity to reach out to others who have had a breast cancer diagnosis and offer inspiration and hope through dragon boating. Team members benefit not only from a rigorous training program but also from the fellowship, support and encouragement of teammates. Our motto is “Awareness and Hope in a Dragon Boat”.
