As many of you know, this is an important cause for me.  For those who don't, the last day of school in June of 2012, I was told, you have breast cancer. Within the week, I had my consultation with the surgeon and surgery was scheduled for the middle of July.  My first dose of chemo was mid September.  My family and friends came together on September 30 2012 to do this run.  This is how Reid and I celebrated our first anniversary.  This year I will be cancer free for 11 years and hope to stay that way. 

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
