No one is immune to the impacts of cancer anymore. We all seem to know someone. Cancer has touched my life very closely since I was 15. My Aunt (my mom's sister) died of Cancer that began as breast cancer in 1998 6 months before my own dad died from cancer when I was 18 years old in 1999 (he had been in remission for 3 years). Since then my husband has had pancreatic cancer at 35 years old and under went a liver transplant 2 years ago at 40 because he had liver cancer. My cousin from back east had been diagnosed with breast cancer 6 years ago and now it has returned to all her vital organs. So I run for all those who's lives have been touched or lost by cancer.
