Kimberly's Pink Wing Warriors

As Team Kimberly's Pink Wing Warriors, we run/walk in memory of Kim an amazing mom, wife, daughter, sister, Gigi & friend and to support the thousands of other Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

In late 2021 Kim was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and radiation and was declared cancer free later the following year. Her cancer aggressively returned in the spring of 2023 as metastatic breast cancer in her brain, liver, lungs and bones. Kim loved life, her family, and her friends with her whole heart and fiercely battled her returning cancer over the last year so she could enjoy more time with everyone she loved. We are heartbroken she couldn't stay longer, but her wings were ready.

Kim walked her cancer journey with positivity, kindness and grace. Always thinking of others, always finding joy, always smiling, always connecting with everyone around her with positivity & love, and even on her hardest days Kim always found things to be thankful for.

The money we will raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. Please consider making a donation in loving memory of Kim.
