An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. This statistic is crazy and growing all the time. Even scarier is the amount of women I personally talk to who are diagnosed at age 28, 32, 35.... women who don't even get to have mammograms.  This means self detection which at those ages, I didn't even know how to do that. Cancer doesn't care who you are, how old you are, or how old your babies are.

After a grueling year and a half of active treatment, appearance altering surgery, radiation and current daily oral therapy for ten years, additional surgery, I feel as though I have come out stronger, more educated and above all, more appreciative of life. To show my gratitude for western medicine and support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 2, 2022.  

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
