An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 2, 2022.  

This is personal. My sister can't stop and neither will I. I have named my team Closer to the Heart because of what Ayla said when I gave her that first hug after her double mastectomy.

A lot of this money doesn't go towards research. There are phone numbers people can call for support. Vehicles and volunteers supplied to drive people to appointments. Wigs and prosthetics donated to help people deal with the life changing events that occur with treatment.

Please donate today. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.
