Some backstory.

My partner Janell’s mom, Karen, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on her 55th birthday, October 8, 2019. She went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, and ultimately a full mastectomy. Karen’s journey hasn’t been easy; even now, she continues treatment every few months.

We’re so grateful she’s still here with us, but not everyone gets that chance. Not everyone can just ‘go on,’ but it’s the resilience to keep pushing that drives this fight. That’s why I’m raising money for the CIBC Run For The Cure—to support those battling cancer and to fund the research that makes those battles a little more hopeful.
