Like us, thousands of Canadians will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year. To spread awareness, we are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

 

We were both diagnosed with breast cancer at young ages. Our lives were suddenly filled with endless medical appointments, scans, uncertainty, fear, and emotional strain. Kelowna's cancer agency provided us and our families with resources to get us through our treatments, which included multiple surgeries, months of chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy. Fast forward to 5 and 6 years after being diagnosed, we are both still currently undergoing treatment.
