As we head towards October, I'm gearing up for my 6th run! This initiative will be one that I will be part of for many years into the future, but I couldn't do it without all the amazing support I've received. More women I know are being diagnosied younger and others are finding out their cancers has progressed - they are looking at measuring life in days and weeks and months and treatment lines, instead of being able to create memories and plan for new experiences. What they need and other people with metastatic cancer need is a CURE!  and access to medication that could extend their lives and improve the quality of it without worrying about which province they live in and what will be covered.

One of the reasons that I will continue to devote my time, energy, and spare funds to this cause is partly to raise awareness as the earlier we can find and treat the better; but we also need to continue to work to change the future for the individuals where early wasn't enough. Together, we can change the future of breast cancer.
