My story started in 2021 when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.  As one can imagine, my family and I geared up for the battle of our lives to fight this devasting diagnosis.

After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, I am proud to say that so far we have conquered this battle together. Through tears, grit, love and hope most of all, I continue to thrive every day with a renewed focus on living my life to the fullest, and surrounding myself with love from family and friends.  I am not alone.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
