To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. I will be walking the 5km route and welcome any of my Kelowna friends to join me.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.

They say that 1 out of 8 women will get breast cancer in their lifetime and this past year, I became one of them. While my journey isn't over yet, I am so grateful for the research done in the past that so greatly improved the prognosis for the type of breast cancer I had. For this reason, I feel I need to do my part to ensure that progress continues to be made until breast cancer is a thing of the past.
