"Most People Never Get To Meet Their Heroes, I Was Raised By Mine"  My Beautiful Momma is loved and missed by so many, but we know she is watching over us and cheering us on ♥

Sunday October 6th is "Run for the Cure 2024" My team and I are about to embark on our 9th Run For The Cure. We come together every year in hope that we can continue to raise awareness and contribute to the ongoing research and advancement of treatments for this dreaded disease. Treatments like the ones that kept my Mom with us for almost 3 years instead of the 3-5 months she was first given. This year we dedicate our walk to Dawn, another Inspiring Warrior and Survivor, and as always, for Val, for Thai-lin, for Lorraine, for Edna, for Dana, for Charmaine, for My Daughter, for My Sister-By-Heart, for My Daughters-In-Law, for My Mother-In Law, for My Sisters-In-Law, and for All The Amazing Women In My Life, and of course, for Myself. When I look at my reflection and see my scars, and three tiny blue tattoos, it's a beautiful reminder, or badge of honor as my husband calls it, that I fought like a warrior and kicked Cancer's Ass. I've always donated but as a "Breast Cancer Survivor" it's a cause that is very close to my heart. I am extremely grateful for how far their research has brought them in the cure for breast and other cancers, and want to give back or repay them for their amazing work. Without it, I can only imagine what my prognosis might have been. But because of it, I'm here to ask, "Please join us in the fight for the cure, and the continuing research it provides."
