I'm participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's CIBC Run for the Cure on October 6th because breast cancer is a cause that is very close to my heart.

Having been diagnosed at the age of 38, I know how far reaching this disease can be. My children were quite young at the time but still very aware of how breast cancer can hurt. 

I'm running for them...that they may one day live in a world without breast cancer and that they never again watch another loved one go through that experience.

I'm running for all the women I know who have faced this disease...they are strength and life.

I'm running for all the women I've lost to this disease...that their stories are not forgotten.  

I'm running to show the world that there is life after breast cancer. 

Breast cancer is a part of my story...but there's still much more to come...my story's not finished yet....
