Every day, 75 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” To my complete shock - at the age of 42, I was one of them!

It seemed so ironic that my mother (a CIBC employee) had roped me into fundraising and participating in the CIBC Run For The Cure for the past 24 years - all before anyone in our family had been diagnosed with cancer - and well before I would ever hear those words. 

As a 42 year old wife and mother of 2 young children - Cancer ripped through our family in a way that was terrifying. I am blessed to say that I am now a survivor, but I am more motivated than ever to help change the future of breast cancer! 

I will be walking in honour of myself, every breast cancer fighter, survivor and for those we have lost.
