I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2018, and with the incredible support of family and friends, I completed my surgery, chemo and radiation treatments by August 2019.  My support group truly provided the love I felt wrapped around me.

In addition to my personal people, the medical people were full of kindness and compassion.

The "extras" were the amazing support of people who really know what a person needs while going through this journey.  From the loan of wigs, to the "Look Good, Feel Good" program, that helped with makeup application, the wonderful lodge to stay in while receiving treatment in Kelowna.

This is all in place to cushion those who have received this terrible diagnosis.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
