Let’s TRI for the Cure!!!

Pinky ‘n Purdy were “pinkcited” to return for their splash launch of the 7th Annual TRI for the Cure.” Our Olympink Distance Triathlon (1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run) returned to the Vancouver Triathlon in Stanley Park for another glorious day this recent weekend to support our 4 week Breast Cancer fundraising campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society’s CIBC Run for the Cure event on Sunday, October 6th (5k run) in Downtown Vancouver – our campaign finale!

We have been thrilled to be joined by the “pinkergetic”GoGo Bros relay team featuring renown Pinkstar, PinkJovi and his son DaniRose Jovi, along with special running mate, Mr. Pink Palms! In the end, Pinky n’ Purdywere perpetually “pinktified” and pinkspired by all the packed performances that also saw the GoGo Bros Team win the 2nd place podium position for the Cure!!

Currently, nearly 28,000 Canadians each year are diagnosed with Breast Cancer with 1 of 8 Canadian women being impacted in their lifetimes. Together, let’s “pinkcelerate” new research and treatment efforts to help support our shared rose-coloured vision for a brighter future.

Fortunately, we are making significant progress with early diagnosis and more effective treatments that continue to lift survival rates and improve the pace of recovery!

For the last 6 years, we have specifically designated all our funds raised towards clinical trials. A donation of $75 can fund a clinical trial for 1 individual with breast cancer to test new life saving treatments. A gift of $50 can fund 1 hour of clinical research!

So please, any help you may be able to offer is so dearly appreciated.  We, humbly and wholeheartedly, thank you so much for your gracious and generous consideration of support for our ladies!

The truth is courage, strength, and hope will endure, in focused unison, one day we’ll find the Cure.
