An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.   

Following my routine mammogram in the summer of 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Cancer doesn't affect just you.  It affects those who love and support you too.  Following a lumpectomy on September 16, 2021, I went on to have 8 chemotherapy treatments, 16 radiation treatments and am now into year 3 of my hormone therapy.  I am so grateful for the care, love and support I have received and the support programs I have accessed throughout this journey.  I am a survivor!

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
