This year I am walking for my mom, Sharel.

Many of you know that my mom, Sharel, passed away this summer from cancer.  Four years ago she was diagnosed and had surgery for lung cancer and we thought she was cured.  Unfortunately, cancer cells migrate in the body and early this summer we discovered she had tumours in her brain.  We lost her 4 short weeks after her diagnosis.  

I know we are all touched by cancer.  Cancer has touched so many in my family.  My Dad and my grandmother both passed away from cancer.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024  as part of Team Sveinson. With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people.
