An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  In 2017 I was one of them.  Years of research provided treatment options that gave me a better chance of a positive outcome and support programs had a big impact on me personally while I was going treatment and recovery.  There has been a lot of progress made but sadly too many still have to go through the shock of a diagnosis for themselves or a loved one.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs – including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
