To show my support for my mum and the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. This year my mum was diagnosed with estrogen receptor (ER) positive breast cancer. We have been very fortunate that she has had a tremendous team of doctors, surgeons, pathologists, and nurses, as well as care post surgery. This is in no small part to the donations and efforts made by so many people like you. She is a wife, mother, sister, nana, friend, and former (but will always be a) teacher. Funny and smart, she is also extremely caring and will give the shirt off her back for others. Now it’s my time to be able to help her.

 

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
