To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, or in my case Walk for the Cure on October 6th. 

As many of you know our oldest daughter, Caitlin, was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year and has since been undergoing treatment, which will continue into well into next year. Through all the treatment and surgeries, Caitlin has been the amazing, strong, independent woman, mother, wife, daughter and sister that we all know and love. She has benefited on this journey from excellent medical care and strong support from family and friends. Not everyone has this and they rely on organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society to help them. These are the people we are trying to help through this fundraiser and with your generous support. Fundraising also goes towards research into new treatments and early detection for breast cancer, which can benefit people all around the world

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
