My cat saved my life.

Around Labour Day 2021 our cat Benny accidentally scratched me.

I found my two lumps when I examined my wound. I'm not going to say I was in denial but I sure did not think I had breast cancer.

Long story short I was quickly diagnosed with breast cancer that had made it's way into my lymph nodes.

2 1/2 years after many months of chemo, lumpectomy,nodal surgery and radiation I still get to say, "I am currently cancer free." I am eternally grateful for the research and hard science that has gone into getting us closer to the cure each year.

To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
