On January 23, 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It’s mostly out of my mind. But sometimes it feels like yesterday and I can remember exactly what happened, when it happened, and how I felt.

Last year, my Mom was diagnosed with the same breast cancer. She is doing well now, but her diagnosis is another reminder of how prevalent this illness is.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
