We invite all of you to join us on Sunday, October 6, 2024, as we participate in the 2024 Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. Crown Counsel teams from Surrey, Victoria and other locations (Nanaimo) have run as the Corporate Team, the Crown Bosom Buddies since 2009 (Surrey) and 2011 (Victoria).  

Why do we run? Each of us has our own reasons, but for the Crown Bosom Buddies, it all started 15 years ago when the mother of a then-Surrey Crown Counsel was diagnosed with breast cancer. She decided to join the Run for the Cure (she had never run 5 km before). 15 of her colleagues from the Surrey office ran with her in support. We ran with her again over the next 14 years, supporting her and other BCPS employees with family and friends who have been affected by the illness. And we are running / jogging / walking again this year. I know that we have all have close friends, colleagues, or family members who have fought, and are fighting breast cancer.

Since 2009, Crown Bosom Buddies has raised well over $90,000 for breast cancer research. Help us raise that total! With your participation, who knows what we will be capable of this year? Together we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
