Dear friends,

Like so many of you, my life has been directly touched by breast cancer. This annual gathering, in honour of my friend Janet Person, with my friends at UVicLaw, is one thing that I can do.

If you are able, please do consider making a donation. Our team is a little engine that could, but each year we have raised a generous amount of money and a little bit of awareness for others similarly impacted by cancer -- in all its forms.

As we start to move into flu season, I am deeply aware that people living with breast cancer, like my friend Eloise, are often isolated from people and places that would ordinarily provide comfort, humour and support in a health journey as hard as this one.  So, alongside raising some funds for breast cancer treatment and awareness, a gentle reminder that wearing a mask and maintaining some social distance enables those who are immunocompromised a bit more protection.

So.  If you are able to give -- thank you.  If you want to walk with us -- awesome!  See you in some way on October 6th.
