In March of 2022, I lost my mom to breast cancer.  She was only 64 years old.  Of course it wasn't just me that lost someone.  My kids lost their "Nani".  My wife lost one of her best friends.  My sister lost her mom.  My aunt and uncle lost their sister.  And countless other friends and family lost someone they cared about.  Karen Denike touched many lives.  She will forever be in my heart, and the hearts of those who loved her.

Sadly, this story of loss is not unique.  An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
