I invite all of you to join us on Sunday, October 6, 2024, as we participate in the 2024 Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. Crown Counsel teams from Surrey, Victoria, and Nanaimo have run as the Corporate Team, the Crown Bosom Buddies since 2009, 2011, and 2022 respectively.

Why do we run? Each of us has our own reasons, but for the Crown Bosom Buddies, it all started 16 years ago when the mother of a Surrey Crown Counsel was diagnosed with breast cancer. She decided to join the Run for the Cure (she had never run 5 km before). 15 of her colleagues from the Surrey office ran with her in support. We ran with her again over the next 4 years, supporting her and other BCPS employees with family and friends who have been affected by the illness. And we are running / jogging / walking again this year. I know that we have all have close friends, colleagues, or family members who have fought, and are fighting breast cancer. Join us and run for them.

Crown Bosom Buddies The Islanders was formed in 2011 and has been a solid fundraiser in the fight against breast cancer. Since 2009, Crown Bosom Buddies has raised over $90,000 for breast cancer research. Help us raise that total! With your participation, who knows what we will be capable of this year? Together we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
