2004: Seems Like Yesterday

On average, 78 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every day and 15 Canadian women will die from breast cancer every day. I have been participating in the Run for the Cure since 2001 and I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer eight (8) years ago. During that time, I have lost some shining stars in my life but have also seen others thrive. Please support my run this year to support those fighting the fight of their lives, in honour of those we've lost, and to support Breast Cancer Research*.

*I was privileged to visit Women’s College Hospital in Toronto in May of this year to learn more about one of these projects: The Screen Project is designed to make BRCA1 & BRCA2 screening (and further genetic testing) available to all Canadians over 18 years of age. https://thescreenproject.ca/index.html
