The Island Breaststrokers Dragon Boat Team is a vibrant group of breast cancer survivors and thrivers in Victoria, BC. We paddle year round on the Gorge Waterway to show that rigorous, regular exercise plays a critical role in helping those who are living through breast cancer return to an active lifestyle. The Island Breaststrokers are also a source of social and emotional support for each other. Although we paddle hard, we also love to have fun and celebrate! If you are a breast cancer survivor or thriver we would love to have you join us.

We are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024, because we believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible.
